For the 2007 LINC Exploration and Empowerment Program, Relief International-Schools Online (RI-SOL) is fortunate to have 10 outstanding high school students from the Bay area participate in the three week exchange to Bangladesh and subsequently create their own environmental service project. To get a sense of who our U.S. participants are and what they are interested in, please read the student bios and continue on to meet the Bangladeshi students!

	Name: McKay Captain McVey Year: Senior! (the four year nightmare is almost over!) Interests:  I like to read, write, and think.  Whether it's emersing myself in another world or creating my own, I'm always one for adventure!
	Name: Shad Emam Year: Senior Interests:  I will be an inner city school math teacher, because the rewards aren't only the pay, its the knowledge that I help students to help themselves.  The only guarantee in this world to get out of poverty is an education.  White water rafting, Swimming and Art are the things that keep me sane in this hectic society.
	Name: Karime Year: Senior at Berkeley High School Interests: I work with Youth Radio (a small non-profit) writing stories with the news department, and at the Multicultural Institute mentoring for an academic success program as a site coordinator for a tutoring program at a local elementary school.  I love working with kids and I love art.
	Name: Emilee Year: Senior at Berkeley High Interests: I'm a rising senior in the social justice small school CAS (Communications, Arts & Sciences) at Berkeley High.  Some of my core interests include: film production, ethnic studies/urban sociology, pastel drawing, self-education and youth empowerment.
	Name: Jordan Hollarsmith Year: Junior Interests: I love crosscountry running, acting, blacksmithing, volunteering, playing flute, meeting quirky people, and exploring the nooks and crannies of San Francisco.
	Name: Mohamed Daniel Sirker Year: Junior Interests: I'm into social activism, educating the masses, and contributing my part for a better world, but nonetheless, I like the ladies and the ladies like me.  HOLLAH!
	Name: Shelsea A. Evans Year: Junior Interests: I enjoy different cultures and feel that the world is beautiful when balanced and diverse.  I like writing poetry, art, martial arts, philosophy, police business, and the military.
	Name: Alysha Aziz Year: Junior Interests: I honestly think that we can all change the world, so I am really into human rights, activism, and writing, especially poetry. I am also very involved in acting. I have recently fallen in love with Ameican Sign Language and interpreting. Lastly, in my spare time, I like listening to any good music I can get my hands on, reading books, and hanging out with my friends, whom I love!
	Name: Anna O'Kelly Year: Junior Interests:  I'm very active -- I like running, soccer, skiing, skating, etc.  I hope to be a doctor when I'm older, and I love helping others.
	Name: Anthony Rodriguez Year: Senior (Class of 2007) Interests: I love traveling and listening to music.  I want to be an adolescent psychiarist or diplomat for International Affairs when I get older.   I take photography on my free time and I consider myself a big movie buff.
