Participants are required to develop their own environmental service project that they must work on for a period of 10 months.  Shortly after their return to the United States, participants take part in a workshop led by Youth Philanthropy Worldwide (YPW). YPW uses their vast experience in working with youth in philanthropic endeavors to provide participants with the “next step”.  For a one year period beginning with their return from Bangladesh (January 2007 to January 2008), students are responsible for ten hours of environmental service per month. Students are required to submit monthly reports of their work to YPW and RI-SOL.  YPW is available throughout the period to support students in their environmental service ventures, where possible.  While Bangladeshi students are visiting in May 2007, the American students present their projects during a one day workshop conducted at YPW.
